Pre-School

A happy start to school life is Play Works.

Play Works provides a safe and happy environment, giving children the best opportunity to learn through play and we ensure that the transition from home to school is made as easy and enjoyable as possible.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum which is divided into 6 main areas of learning. Each area has early learning goals enabling us to focus on what your child needs to learn while they have fun playing.

  • PSED - Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • PSRN - Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
  • CD - Creative development
  • PD - Physical Development
  • KUW - Knowledge and understanding of the world
  • CLL - Communication, Language and Literacy

We do all we can to ensure the children in our care have a wonderful time and genuinely enjoy being at Play Works.

Play Works is a registered provider of funded pre-school education offering up to 15 hours per week for children aged 3 and 4. A wrap around service is available for children attending afternoon sessions at Urmston Infant School Nursery. Please feel free to call in during one of our sessions, we would be delighted to meet you and show you around.

Pre-school is open weekdays from 9:00am until 12 noon during term time.
