Our play group offers a safe, secure, happy and stimulating environment for pre-school children to play, learn and make friends at the same time providing peace of mind for parents.
At Play Works we emphasise the importance of play to ensure children have lots of fun whilst providing opportunities for children to develop socially, physically and creatively. All sessions are planned and structured around a set routine with a wide variety of fun activities including:
- Role Play
- Painting
- Water Play
- Construction
- Playdough
- Baking
- Small World
- Puzzles, Books and Games
 The session also offers a limited amount of pre-school activities such as communication, language, literacy and Numeracy.
Everyone gets involved in ‘Tidy up Time’ before the children settle down for a snack and a drink and to sing their favourite songs.
We have an outdoor play area where the children can simply run around, play ball games, ride on scooters or tricycles and play on the climbing frame or in the small house.
At the end of each session the children enjoy story time and are presented with all the work they have completed during the session.
All our activities are well structured although children are given freedom of choice, priority is given to individual children’s needs; whatever they decide the emphasis is always FUN!

It is with pleasure that we have no hesitation in recommending Playworks as the provider of out of school care for George.
The friendly approach, level of care given and commitment shown to the children by Karl, Angie and their staff is, we believe, second to none and we are delighted that George actually looks forward to being dropped off in a morning, sometimes the only problem is dragging him away at night from one of the many activities on offer that he enjoys!!!
